The technology

Paboco is the company developed from the Danish technology startup Ecoxpac founded by the late Jesper Servé and his team in a garage in Slangerup. In 2014 Billerud and our team in The Paper Bottle Project identified this technology as the most viable solution for producing paper bottles at scale. Today Paboco is fully owned by the Austrian company Alpla to provide an alternative to their PET bottle business. The first bottles were developed in close collaboration in our Pioneer Partner model with non-competing global brands; Absolut, Carlsberg, Coca-Cola, L’Oréal and P&G.
