The technology

Woamy is a spin-off from Aalto University in Finland developing fully bio-based packaging foams from kraft cellulose to replace petroleum-derived foams such as expanded polystyrene. Woamy addresses the critical issue of plastic waste — only 1% of plastic foams are recycled annually — by offering a fully circular packaging material that can be recycled alongside cardboard.
