From a patent on formable paper to full scale packaging solution. The collaboration started in 2012 when Billerud set out to commercialise a patent on free forming of paper. FibreForm® was created together, as well as the application portfolio and first publicly shown commercial application for Sony Ericsson’s Green Heart project.
From material to turn key packaging solution, the packaging system developed together with Synetgon maximizes the shapeability of the material at maximum speed, making it a good alternative to replace thermo formed plastic packaging at scale. The system launched at Interpack in 2018 and is still one of our favourite developments.
